I sometimes wonder if people will ever stop asking me, “Does CBD actually work?” I guess not, considering how, like all compounds in cannabis, the effectiveness of CBD depends on a) an individual’s genetic makeup and predisposition, and b) whether the product they’ve tried actually contains the drug. amount of CBD advertised. In an industry rife with cheap CBD imitators and perpetual cash-grabbing attempts, come across a CBD product that works, and really works, looks like a personal victory.
For me, taking Willie’s CBD Remedy coffee and tea for a spin was like one of those personal victory moments. The canna drink market is still in a relative state of infancy. It seems it was only in the last year or so that a few premium drink brands have become synonymous with power and reliability.
CBD can be tricky because if you take it you want to be able to experience a defined high without necessarily feeling stoned or even drowsy. My past experience with cannabis infused coffee and tea is somewhat limited, but if I’ve ever had any frustration with either, it’s because the difference wasn’t noticeable enough to me. taste. So let’s dive into these hot drinks and see how they deliver.
Willie Nelson’s CBD sister brand of Willie’s Reserve cannabis, Willie’s Remedy specializes in full spectrum hemp infused topical coffee, tea, tincture and balm. For this review, I’m going to be looking at Willie’s Remedy Medium Roast Coarse Ground Coffee, Peppermint Pyramid Tea Bags, and Chamomile Pyramid Tea Bags.
First impressions
Willie’s Remedy coffee comes in bright brown paper bags with a label that emulates that old-fashioned, “General Store” coffee vibe, with a clear display of the CBD content in milligrams (250 milligrams, to be precise) and Willie’s signature phrase “VSyour Bthe lessers Daily. Willie’s tea bags come in round boxes of 16 sachets that contain 200 milligrams of CBD per package, for a total of approximately 12.5 milligrams per bag, also prominently displayed on the front label.
There are a dozen celebrity-backed CBD companies at this point, and depending on which ones you’ve tried, your patience may already vary. Maybe I let my personal taste influence my first impression here a little too much, but I find Willie’s Remedy’s presentation not only aesthetically appealing, but denotes a quality and authenticity that I would expect from something that bears the Redheaded Name. from abroad.
And I’m no coffee expert, but the quality and strength of the smell when I opened my coffee bag far exceeded the aroma of the typical stuff I pick up at Trader Joe’s.
Medium roast ground coffee
According to Willie’s Remedy, its coffee is “carefully selected and roasted, then infused with full spectrum organic hemp oil sourced from independent American farmers.” As reported by The Spoon, hemp oil is applied directly to the beans immediately after roasting, which aims to achieve a good distribution of the hemp in the beans and give a richer flavor and effect to the final product.
Flavor
Even in coarsely ground form, my Willie’s medium roast coffee had a vibrant, multi-dimensional flavor that I immediately noticed. As I mentioned earlier, I’m no coffee expert, but for anyone whose relationship to coffee is primarily utilitarian but not enough to avoid premium quality, I can’t imagine a cup of Willie’s Remedy is a disappointment. I had hoped to taste the hemp extract to be sure it was there, but ultimately the effects did a good job letting me know without affecting the taste of the coffee.
Efficiency
Happy to report that this’ o joe mug absolutely lives up to its promise of “the harmony of caffeine concentration and the calm of hemp”. At first I thought maybe it was just a placebo effect, but then I checked with a friend of mine who had also had a cup at my house. We both found that we had been sufficiently energized and moderately calmed without experiencing virtually any of the typical coffee scares.
To live
For my first cup of Willie’s CBD coffee, I waited a little longer than usual after waking up, mainly to make sure I didn’t just reflexively swallow it and miss a fuller idea of ââhow it made me feel. Most of the time, I don’t eat a lot of breakfast, and when I do, it’s usually to avoid making myself sick with coffee on an empty stomach. Against my better judgment, I gave up breakfast with my first cup of Willie’s Remedy, but found my stomach to feel great even after a second cup.
I also felt my creative juices flowing quite immediately, and on a sharper level than usual. I had energy, sure, but I also had focus and creativity, and I could feel a tangible difference in the way my thoughts came together. I don’t know what you would call an experience like this if not holistic.
Peppermint Chamomile Teas
Willie’s Remedy CBD tea is comparable in effect, as well as in flavor and overall experience, to Willie’s coffee. If there’s a place in your morning or daytime routine for tea, peppermint and chamomile teas provide an enriching sensory experience that can add vibrant dimensions to your day.
Flavor
Willie’s Peppermint Tea is both soothing and invigorating in every way you could hope for. For some people, especially in America, tea will always be a hard sell, but this peppermint tea contains a rich, sweet flavor that is suitably earthy without only earthy taste. There’s an immediate shake that’s great for a morning or afternoon pick-me-up.
Chamomile tea is silky smooth and will appeal to anyone who likes to relax and immerse themselves in tranquility with a hot cup of honey chamomile.
Efficiency
I’ll spare you the details of the night before trying Willie’s mint tea, but I will confidently say it’s great for helping with a hangover, especially if you’re not a fan of Coffee. And as I mentioned before, its holistic and uplifting quality makes it extremely effective at creating a welcoming mood for the day, potentially boosting productivity without sending you into an uncomfortable, caffeinated frenzy.
The same can be said for Willie’s chamomile tea, but with a less immediate invigorating that comes with peppermint. While still invigorating in terms of focus and creativity, chamomile put me on a balanced register that helped me stay calm and serene throughout the day.
To live
As a connoisseur who has sampled many CBD products – some good, some bad, and many that are just plain correct – I was blown away by the overwhelming feeling of calm and freshness with a burst of energy. moderate that these two teas provided. Assuming the CBD was distributed evenly, there was around 12.5 milligrams of CBD per tea bag – not a significant amount but not necessarily a slight 5 milligram chord either. They set a tone, mood and flavor to my mornings that couldn’t have been more conducive to doing daily chores as well as stopping to enjoy the vibrations of my surroundings.
At the end of the line
For longtime smokers, the impulse to turn every cannabis product into a hyper-capitalist productivity booster in the age of legalization and mainstream acceptance can be a bit depressing. However, in the case of Willie’s Remedy Coffee and Tea, there is a legitimate opportunity to reduce anxiety, stress, and jitters from caffeine while infusing the experience with just enough tranquility to effectively help find peace. through the times when “doing shit” is a necessity.
If you love coffee, but need something to balance the nervousness, Willie’s Remedy is well worth a try. If you’re looking for holistic ways to incorporate CBD (which actually works) into your daily routine, Willie’s Remedy Tea is a great place to start.
