Following the success of their Bray and Arran Quay stores, Copper+Straw is bringing their tasty specialty coffee to Dublin 2.
Good news for coffee lovers and Dublin 2 commuters! Copper + Straw The latest cafe and store opened in Aston Quay earlier this month, bringing its extensive range of specialty coffees and products to the south of the city.
Copper + Straw’s Aston Quay Coffee is a coffee connoisseur’s dream, as they only stock and sell the finest specialty beans. Without getting too geeky, Special Grade beans are the highest quality beans available on the market, scoring 80 or higher on a standardized coffee scale. So it’s about as good as it gets when it comes to coffee.
Copper + Straw has been producing premium specialty coffees for four years now, having opened its Bray store in 2018 and its Arran Quay store during the pandemic. Continuing a four-year partnership, Bailies Coffee will be the in-house roaster of the new coffee, offering customers the best beans and brews available, including their superb microlots.
If you’re not familiar with microlots, these are pretty exceptional coffees that are only available for a month or two each year. They are usually harvested in small batches from a single area of a farm with optimal growing conditions. They are grown, picked and processed entirely separately from the rest of the farm’s batches to amplify their particular qualities.
Coffee+Straw’s Aston Quay coffee offers coffee lovers four beans on espresso, two beans on filter and their own range of exclusive drinks. The store also offers several specialty coffee brands and top quality equipment, making it the perfect place to stock up on everything you need for your own home coffee setup.
The new café will follow the sleek and stylish decor of the other branch, creating the perfect urban café to stop off during your commute, catch up with a friend or simply treat yourself to a warm brew.
